賽事簡介及目標

賽事理念

「聖誕老人來了！」- 聖誕老人給予人們一種歡樂、付出及令人期待的印象。賽事將召集過千位城中的聖誕老人，在跑步籌款之餘，也帶來希望！賽事更會結合嘉年華的節目及氣氛，讓所有參加者均可享受別具歡樂的比賽。這也是全港唯一比賽中所有跑手都是聖誕老人(穿著聖誕老人服飾)!

籌款目的

透過充滿聖誕氣氛的運動為寰宇希望籌款，希望參與者既可從中體會到運動的益處與樂趣，亦可對幫助有需要的人。是次比賽所籌得的善款，將用於支持寰宇希望於深水埗及天水圍的學業輔導及品格教育項目，使更多的低收入家庭兒童得到幫助。

因著聖經呼召我們在世上服侍貧窮及有需要人士，國際基督教會於1991年創立寰宇希望。我們提供的服務無分宗教種族，主要為社會上弱勢兒童提供教育機會、為貧困人士提供就業及技能訓練、為患病人士提供醫療服務及幫助長者活出健康及有尊嚴的晚年生活。今天，寰宇希望及其他附屬機構每年服務超過二百萬人次。

寰宇希望(香港)於1993年成立，為中國及香港貧困人士提供服務。根據香港公司條例， 寰宇希望獲得稅務局免稅慈善機構身份(Ref No. 91/3798)。目前，我們主要為弱勢長者、兒 童及青少年提供服務，並幫助中國山區及偏遠地區貧困學童。

贊助注意事項

1. 每位參加者收集善款後，須連同贊助表格及劃線支票一張(抬頭：寰宇希望)交予組長。
2. 團隊組別中，組長須收集所有隊員之贊助表格及捐款支票，每張贊助表格須附有一張劃線支票，並於2014年11月4日或之前寄回香港九龍鑽石山彩虹道202-204號華懋工業大廈1樓B室收，信封面請註明「寰宇希望千個聖誕老人慈善跑」。
3. 捐款港幣$100或以上可獲發出捐款收據，供申請扣香港稅款之用。捐款收據名稱根據「贊助人姓名」發出。有正式嫉據將於活動後三個月內發出。

注意事項

1. 參加者會在報名後7個工作天收到大會電郵確認其報名，如未有收到通知，可發電郵至 hopeww@sportsoho.com 或致電21171650聯絡韋小姐或蘇先生查詢。
2. 若申請者提供錯誤資料、不能繳交報名表及費用或不依從正確報名程序報名，主辦單位保留拒絕接受有關申請之權利。報名一經接納報名費或捐款恕不發還。已寄出的報名或重覆報名，均不設退款、退件、轉名安排及取消服務。
3. 不接受現場及逾期報名。
4. 主辦單位保留限制及拒絕接受報名的權利。
5. 主辦單位保留聯絡申請者之權利，以便查詢有關其報名資料之事宜。
6. 任何懷孕或患有慢性疾病如心臟病及高血壓的人士，皆不應參加是次活動。主辦單位在得悉或懷疑的情況下，保留取消任何不適宜參加是次活動之參加者資格的權利。被取消資格人士的報名費及其他費用, 將不會獲得退還。
7. 號碼布連計時晶片及將會在比賽前兩星期通知參加者領取，參加者攜同電郵列印本或用電子產品展示電郵方式領取。
8. 參加者個人意外保險需自行負責。
9. 如於比賽前一天中午十二時或之後懸掛八號或以上颱風訊號，賽事將會取消。
10. 如於比賽當日凌晨十二時前懸掛黑色暴雨，賽事將會取消
11. 如比賽進行中天氣惡劣或懸掛上述任何警告，賽事總監有權將比賽賽程改變或取消正在進行中的比賽。報名費將不獲退還。
12. 如是次比賽因天氣惡劣或懸掛上述任何警告而取消，並不設補賽。
13. 請在比賽早上致電香港天文台查詢有關天氣情況。(電話: 1878200)
14. 大會保留是次活動之最終決定權，任何有關活動的臨時改動或消息，將以大會網站公佈為準。如參加者引起公眾不安，或作出其他大會認為不當的行為，大會有權取消參加者比賽資格。

“Santa Claus is coming to town!”- Santa Claus is always giving people a joyful, giving and exciting impression. This event will bring together thousands of Santa Claus in the city, in the remainder of running for fundraising, it also brings hope!

Fundraising Purpose

Through a fundraising sports event full of Christmas atmosphere, participants can benefit from the fun experience of sports, and develop a sense of mission to help children in need.

All fund raised will be used for supporting HOPE worldwide's academic enhancement and character education programs for underprivileged children in Sham Shui Po and Tin Shui Wai areas.

HOPE worldwide is an international charity that changes lives by harnessing the compassion and commitment of dedicated staff and volunteers to deliver sustainable, high-impact, and community-based education, health, and volunteer services to the poor and needy.

History

The International Churches of Christ founded HOPE worldwide in 1991, in response to the Scriptures’ call to serve the poor and needy throughout the world. Its non-sectarian programmes provide education to disadvantaged children, job and life skills training to the poor, medical services to the sick, and help the elderly to age more healthily and with dignity. Today, HOPE worldwide and its affiliates and chapters serve more than 2 million people on every inhabited continent every year.

HOPE worldwide established the affiliate in Hong Kong in 1993 to serve the poor in Hong Kong and China. The affiliate is incorporated under the Companies Ordinance and obtained tax-exempt status as a charity from the Inland Revenue Department (Ref No. 91/3798). Currently, our programmes serve vulnerable elderly, underprivileged children and youth in Hong Kong, and also poor children in rural communities and urban areas in China.

2. Mail your completed, signed and dated enrolment form with a local crossed cheque made payable to ‘Hope worldwide’ to Flat B, 1/F, Wah Mow Factory Building, 202-204 Choi Hung Road, Diamond Hill, Kowloon and specify ‘HOPE worldwide Great Santa Run’ on the envelop;

Sponsorship Important Notes

1. Participants should pass your sponsorship forms and donations to your Leader. Donation will only be accepted by one crossed payable to “Hope worldwide”.
2. For team, Leader will collect the sponsorship forms and cheques from members of your team. Please send them by post to Flat B, 1/F, Wah Mow Factory Building, 202-204 Choi Hung Road, Diamond Hill, Kowloon and specify ‘HOPE worldwide Great Santa Run’ on the envelop on or before 7 November 2013. Each sponsorship form should be attached with one crossed cheque.
3. Donations of HK$100 or more are tax-deductible. Donation receipts will be issued according to the Name of Sponsors. Official donation receipts will be issued within 3 months after the event.

Important Notes

1. Enrollment confirmation will be sent to participants by e-mail 7 working days after the enrollment. If you do not receive the confirmation, please send your enquiry to hopeww@sportsoho.com or contact 21171650.
2. All application fees and other donations are not refundable. If the participants provide incorrect information, fail to pay application fee or follow correct application procedure, the Organizer reserves the right to reject their application.
3. Later or on site enrollment will not be accepted.
4. The Organizer reserves the right of limit and refuses any application.
5. The Organizer reserves the right to contact participants for information regarding their application.
6. Any person who is pregnant or suffering from chronic diseases such as heart disease or high blood pressure should not join the event. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant known or suspected to be unfit to participate in the event. All application fees and donations of the disqualified person will not be refunded.
7. Race Pack Pick-up Notice will be sent to participants 2 weeks before the event day, participants should bring the email print it out to pick up the race pack with bib number, timing chip.
8. Participants are advised to arrange their own insurance cover.
9. If Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is hoisted at any time from 12:00 noon on the day before race, the race will be cancelled.
10. If the Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted at any time from 12:00am on the race day, the race will be cancelled.
11. Should the above Inclement Weather/Condition Warnings be raised after the commencement of race, the Race Director has the right to change the course distance or arrangement or to stop the race. If the race is being stopped, the race will be cancelled. Entry fee will not be refunded.
12. No rescheduled race due to inclement weather or other reasons.
13. Please check the race day weather from the Hong Kong Observatory. (Tel: 1878200)
14. The Organizer reserves the right of final decision of the event. Any changes or contingent measures for the event announced by the Organizer and posted on the Organizer’s webpage shall prevail.
15. Participants must ensure that they are physically fit to join the event. They must comply with, observe and accept the requirements and related terms for participants.
16. Baggage storage service and water stations will be provided.
